I think cooking should be enjoyable and do not usually view it as a chore however there are some nights when I'd be just as happy eating peanut butter on saltine crackers when I get home from work.<br />My eldest daughter asked for a pasta maker for Christmas this year. Any suggestions would be welcome.<br /><br /><br />Madame, Yes there is something about the smell of cakes and cookies being baked in the oven that is so comforting. I like making cakes but I have to b...Hi my friend,<br /><br />I like making cakes but I have to be in a mood because it's from scratch. I keep working on a chocolate torte with a grappa creme sauce. I got my inspiration for this while attending a cooking class in Florence. The chef said I have "<b>warm hands</b>", which is not good for pastry crusts but I do my best.<br /><br />I enjoy making pasta but it's difficult to find squid ink to color my favorite kind (<i>calamari, mussels and shrimp pasta</i>). But there are other colors that work just as well (<i>for example, tomatoes or spinach</i>).<br /><br />Holidays mean visits by family and friends so I usually grill a turkey (<i>I love the smoke flavor</i>).
